I want to come here and tell you all that although we should be watching Port Charles christmas with Rafe and Caleb fighting over the best tree while making kissies under the misletoe with Liver and Alison...well....we can still dream eh....But for now in our life we have to be thankful for what we have and Im so greatful I have my mom and family and friends.... I include you all in that becuz through the years I have shared some of my deepest and darkest here with you and privately..... I stil have a wish list going of everything I still need to do.... ~Send Shelly flower $ ~Loretta some rad pics of JS who happens to bare my same initials LOL!(Jennifer Sheaffer) ~Send Amy340 nice package of ty gifts for some sweet packages ~Brookelovesrafe love for listening and giving me the raddest card and Rali song ~Jamie presents for all she has done for AR with Shelly ~sweetangelflower sweet gifts of love for making Rali love gifts ~PCaddict Linda ReVeNgE ~GaGirl pkin some sweet gifts and cd of songs I wrote including Jolie song So there it is my wish list this year and now that I get a lil $$$ maybe I can get this list accomplished.....I would love that Best thing to do with ole Kayla here is dont believe it till you see it becuz I have no money usually to do the things I wish I could.....But when and if it comes your way then appreciate the 12 years it took me to get it to yah!lol....sad but true.... Here is my other wish list soap style!!!!! 1.That Days would wake up and smell the coffee and write a better show preferrably by hiring me! 2. See more of Mary Beth and Stephen rather then a hand full of eppys in the last 5 mos!!! 3. I wish soaps would really start listening toits fans on what they want to see and not get all political and write our shows in a dangerous light that worries us soaps will end soon... 4. I want to see real comebacks of awesome characters that want to stay for a long while and not just a few weeks.... 5. I want TPTB at NBC CBS and ABC to realize our shows need the veiwers voice to guide us into a bright future..... 6. I want GL to go back to normal filming.... 7. I want Brooke and Nick back together 8. I want Soapnet to play more daytime soaps then eppys of BH!!! 9. I also want Soapnet to go back to soap special marathons like say 12 hr marathon on the love story of Patch and Kayla in which people relearn what they forgot about them since theyve been off Days for 5 mos! 10. I want Adrianne to come back to soaps.......Especially now that theyve killed off her dad on YR 11. I want my Paddy to come visit me and take me out to dinner in my dreams again and make me feel like he's right by my side watching my suds with me...sniff Love KaylaMerry Christmas and happy Hannakah to all! 11.

Ok, if I get a second wish - I wish that Ridge, Lucas, Zach, Kendall, and Victor all get backburnered.

ITA...Shelly, I totally agree. But...are there any secure daytime roles now? Daytime must be the most nervous group of actors of any TV segment right now. No one is safe anymore. Kayla...I share your concern about P&K on Days. Surely, Dena could write something more entertaining for them than a once-a-month segment where they are pretty much day players! I don't know if any of this has teeth...but someone posted on Soap Central's Days board that EHP tested for a role on Days. This person said she posted something about this on one of her sites?? It set some of us to thinking about Rali (on a Days board...no less) and who they could play on the show (some think EHP might be a recast Belle). There was speculation about BG there, too. I still want him as Eric Brady...I can't help it...even though I know the show is just limping along right now. My biggest Christmas wish is that Days would find themselves some good writers...not who we've been dealing with lately. Loretta

Also, he needs to get on one who will write for him and not have him just fade into the background and disappear. I personally would love to see him on OLTL because that is my favorite soap, but I'd take him on any soap as long as they can give him a really good role. My other soap wishes would be for General Hospital to become a normal soap again and finally get rid of all the mobster crap. Also, for GH to keep some of the veteran actors around who have been seen lately like Anna, Robert and Mac. It was so nice to see Robin with all three of them and it brings back memories when GH was a really good soap. We've been subjected too long to this mob nonsense and I for one would love to see it end immediately. Guiding Light is in dire need of some help. I think alot of people are unhappy with the new way of filming. I kind of like it but I don't think it's working for the show. Also, they seem to have lost too many actors over the past few years and I think it has really hurt the show. There is no excitement watching this show anymore. They need to do something fast and my wish is for them to get some good talent over there and change the filming format to the way it used to be. Linda

Yes...it is different, but the limited space they filmed in the previous setup was not enticing to watch, either. There are only so many ways you can film cast on the Main Street set without it getting old very fast. At least there is something interesting here...outdoors. I've always loved remote scenes outdoors...and GL has those a lot now. I think soap viewers are going to have to learn to be more accepting of changes in format to save these shows...it's not as if they have massive over-the-top budgets to play with any more. I wouldn't mind DOOL going to that kind of format filming. My problem with all the soaps is the writing...not the filming or sets used. We need writers who can keep us spellbound by the stories...and I've not seen a lot of that lately. I hate what SoapNet has done to what was my soap network now, but they did give me a treat on Christmas Day when they aired three episodes of GH from Christmases past. I loved seeing Lucy and Kevin back in Port Charles, and I loved Stefan and Katherine again. I miss GH before the mob controlled everything...and even the Christmas Eve show on GH was a pleasure to watch this year. Yes...seeing Robert and Anna made a difference...for me...as did Monica and Alan. I loved that show. We need more like that...and less with the mob infiltrating everything. I couldn't even recommend a show for Brian to be on these days. It really depends on the writing...and the character. I doubt we will ever find anyone as magical as Rafe was...but I keep hoping for something he can really sink his teeth into...where he will have a lot of interaction with the cast. Loretta
